Lori Jakiela is the author of the memoirs The Bridge to Take When Things Get Serious and Miss New York Has Everything. Her third memoir–Belief Is Its Own Kind of Truth, Maybe–is forthcoming in 2015. Her essays have been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Rumpus and more. She lives in Pittsburgh with her husband, author Dave Newman, and their two children, who’ve made her an expert at identifying the desiccated hotdogs she finds stuffed under the couch and in her shoes. She longs for a time when everything in her house wasn’t sticky.
