Javier Barboza was born and raised in Los Angeles and gains inspiration from the complexity of the urban city, dreams and the abstract in everyday life. He received his M.F.A. 2013 in the John C. Hench Division of Animation & Digital Arts in the USC School of Cinematic Arts and his B.F.A in Animation and Film/Video in 2007 from California Institute of the Arts (Cal Arts). He also studied Fine Arts at East Los Angeles College.
