Kristin Voss is an M.F.A. student at the University of New Orleans. She wrote a yarn-bound book about a blue butterfly at age 8, but she has not published anything of consequence since. She has been an instructor of EFL abroad for the past few years and has made a point of teaching her students expressions such as "Heavens to Betsy," "Hold your horses," "Golly Gee Wilikers," and "Close, but no cigar." She longs for the days of licorice-flavored wax mustaches, dancing to the Disco Duck during lunch period, and selling garden seeds door-to-door.
